Sui Dhaaga released with mixed reviews from both critics and audience. The first day morning shows are quite good and by the evening the collections fall down because of Asia Cup 2018 Final and ended on a collection of 8.3 Crore. The film released with huge expectation but nothing good goes right in overseas in front of Maniratnam's multi-starrer "Chekka Chivantha Vaanam" and the Telugu film "Deva Das".
